inside these hands - {Locally Grown Love}

A lovely Sunday afternoon spent at Studio Trilogy and everyone involved in Locally Grown Love, a little eco-friendly wedding pop up. Special thank you to Rebecca Jean Catering for having me along as their preferred photographer. It was so wonderful to see this artistic and thoughtful pop up shop and meet all the creative vendors. Thought I would share some photos from the day but I have to say the ultimate highlight was the poem written for me by the talented Silvi Alcivar of the Poetry Store. She asked me one simple question about what went through my head as I'm photographing, my answers: memories, moments....and feeling others joy, not just capturing it but feeling it. And then the outcome was this beauty: inside these hands for jenna,

oh, how you hold

moments held inside

camera shutter open then

closing, feeling the light

inside what you see,

knowing we're meant to be

mirrors reflecting

not just the memory

but the life

that always

breathes.

How simple and beautiful. She wrote this in a few minutes. Thank you for your talent and sharing it with strangers.  I can only imagine the amount of secrets you hear in a day.

Baby girl you are getting so big! My adorable cousin is 4 months and I can't believe how big she is getting and its only been 4 months from the day that my husband and I rushed to the hospital to see her right after she was born. She is now has many expressions,  oohs and ahhhs along with quite the personality. It is so fun watching her grow and being a part of her life. Thank you for sharing your sweet smiles with us! xo
